The pieces here are different from the previous ones in that the first two are more square and larger than usual, and the last two are Zemmour rugs with a pile.
Piece 5.15435 has a fine pattern with more of an overall design than usual, including vertical bands in addition to the usual horizontal ones. The ground is a deep rich red, with accents in black, white and a somewhat light orange - not as bright and intense as it looks on my screen. You can see the fine work in this close-up. This piece measures about 47 x 56" (120 x 142 cm) and costs $165.
Piece 5.15447 has a rich blue-red ground with the accents in black, white and a lighter orange. The borders have flowers in them, unusual in these rugs. You can see one in the upper right corner of the detail. The size is about 4'8" x 6'8" (142 x 204 cm)and the price is $195.
Piece 4.0009 is something you haven't seen here before, a Zemmour knotted rug instead of a flatweave piece. It is about 40 years old and in excellent condition. These are among the few Moroccan rugs to have two usable faces. Here you see the "back" of the pile side, and here you can see the knotted or pile side - you will notice that they are almost identical. You can see them side by side in this close-up. The flatweave side is on the left in that photo, and the knotted one on the right, and the colors are a bright red and a nice gold. The size of this rug is about about 4' x 6 1/2' (about 50.5" x 78" or 129 x 198 cm) and the price is $780, which includes airmail shipping from Morocco.
Piece 4.0006 is another knotted rug, this time from southern Morocco. It resembles some of the antique ones on the N'kob/Women Weavers section of my site except it is smaller - and much less expensive. I am selling this for a Moroccan friend who has had it for at least 25 years and taken good care of it; the price includes her shipping it from Morocco. This rug is in some of the traditional Tazenakht colors, orange (not too bright), a cherry red, and black and white. You can see them well on this detail. This rug measures almost 4' x 6 1/2' (about 47" x 78" or 120 x 198 cm) and costs $635.
